All matches, except for the final (which took place in Bucharest) were played on neutral ground. In the matches participated 32 teams, including those from Division A. If after 90 minutes the score was equal two overtimes of up to 15 minutes were played. If after extra time the score was all tied, the team from the lower league qualifies next. If both teams played in the same league, then sort of qualification was decided at the away games. In the event of a draw after extra time in the knockout stage, the guest team qualifies for the next stage. The rounds and semifinals were played in two hands.
